Back After a Long Break with Microwave Sooji Halwa / Microwave Rawa Kesari

I am very happy to enter into this blog world and to my recipe blog after really a very long break! Rally i missed you all a very lot and of course, your yummy recipes too! But very happy that have bank up lot of recipes in the drafts section and hope soon will publish it asap!

One thing which made me felt very sad in the break period is, i missed to announce the winner of EFM - Breakfast Series! Hope the winner will be angry towards me for my long absence! Am so sorry my friend, if you have guessed already that you are the winner! And, if you people have not guessed who the winner is, then its my high responsibility to announce it before i start to publish my recipes! Now, may we know who the lucky person is? Cross your fingers!

Now coming to the ingredients of the recipe,




Ingredients:

Semolina / Rawa - 1/2 cup
Water - 2 cups
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Food Color - a pinch ( i used apple green color)
Silver foil - 1 (optional, for garnishing)
Dry Fruits - 1 tbsp (optional, for garnishing)




Cooking Instructions:



In a microwave safe bowl , mix water and sugar and microwave for 5 minutes at 100% power. Keep this syrup aside. In another microwave safe bowl, heat ghee at 100% power for 1 minute. Add suji in it and roast for 5 minutes at 80% power. Stir in between at regular intervals.

Now mix the hot sugar syrup to roasted suji and mix. Microwave it covered for 7 minutes at 80% power. Stir in between. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Garnish with silver foil and dry fruits.

Ingredients for Cherry Cookies: All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 cups Cornflour – 1 cup Icing Sugar – 1 1/2 cup Butter – 1 1/2 cup(in room temperature) Vanilla essence - 2 tsp Cooking Instructions: Sift together maida, cornflour and icing sugar. Cream the butter with a fork and add the vanilla essence and beat well. Now add the flour mix to the butter mix 1 tbsp at a time and mix well thoroughly. Add 1 tbsp milk if the mix is too dry or add a little of flour, if the mixture is little watery. Make small balls out of the mix and flatten a bit and place a whole cherry in the middle. Grease the baking tray and spread a little of flour on that. Now arrange the cookies on the baking tray with a little distance between one and the other cookie since it will expand while it is getting cooked.
